Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE) is an institute of scientific technical education and research. The main focus of the university is the development of durable technology. The university comprises eight departments:

Philosopy and Social Sciences,
Industrial Engineering and Management Science,
Mathematics and Computing Science,
Applied Physics,
Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering,
Chemical Engineering and Chemistry,
Building and Architecture.

Eindhoven University of Technology has some 7,000 students and employs about 2,500 people. Since its start in 1956 some 13,500 students have graduated at TUE as engineers.

The campus of Eindhoven University of Technology is located in the heart of the city, at walking distance from the Central Station. The 7th International Olympiad in Informatics will take place on the TUE campus.
