Subject: Final Results for IOI 2006 Delayed

It is most unfortunate that for technical reasons, the host has not been
able to publish the final results for IOI 2006 yet.

Two preliminary releases of final scores, which circulated at IOI 2006
in printed form, contain [a few] serious errors that required withdrawal of
these lists.

The IC has met and it has also spoken to the IOI 2006 Host organizers
to ensure that the final results that will be published and that the
medals and certificates awarded to the contestants are satisfactory.

The IC is preparing an official clarification of its actions regarding
this issue.  Please be patient.
