Sunday May 6: 1. Arrival, no work planned. Get used to the change of time zone. Monday May 7: 1. Meet with Chair of IOI2001 Scientific Committee to finalize the schedule and to discuss purpose and procedure. IOI2001 SC explains current status of the Competition Material. [30+ minutes in the morning, say at 9:00 after breakfast] 2. Receive printed IOI2001 Competition Material, in particular, Task Descriptions, Overviews, Background information, solutions, etc. Review IOI SC duties (e.g. confidentiality). [30 minutes] 3. IOI SC carefully reads IOI2001 Competition Material, especially that material which the competitors will receive at the beginning of the competition. Make detailed notes on paper (questions, remarks, ...). Done individually, no discussion. Everyone reads everything. [remainder of morning, lunch break, afternoon] 4. IOI SC meets together to discuss findings of first day. [60 minutes before or after dinner] Tuesday May 8: 1. Meet with Chair of IOI2001 SC. [30 minutes] 2. Finish reading all material and making notes, especially the extra material (e.g. for GA meeting, background info, grading data). [90+ minutes] 3. Discuss all notes and prepare for meeting with IOI2001 SC. [30+ minutes] 4. Meet with IOI2001 SC and support staff (not just the chair/vice chair). IOI SC explains its findings, asks questions, receives answers, discusses open issues.
