Wiatr INVITATION On behalf of the Polish Ministry of National Education the National Committee of Polish Olympiad in Informatics has the honour to invite your team of four secondary school students, a team leader and a deputy team leader to the 4th Central European Olympiad in Informatics CEOI'97 17-24 July 1997 The Olympiad aims at motivating secondary school students of Central Europe to - get more interested in informatics and information technology in general, - test and prove their competence in solving problems with the help of computers, - exchange knowledge and experience with other students of similar interest and qualification, - establish personal contacts with young people of the Central-European region. Teams of the following countries are invited as regular participants: 1. Austria 2. Croatia 3. Czech Republic 4. Hungary 5. Poland 6. Romania 7. Slovak Republic 8. Slovenia Teams of the following countries are invited as guest participants: 9. Belarus 10. Estonia 11. Germany 12. Latvia 13. Lithuania 14. Sweden 15. Ukraine 16. United States 17. Yugoslavia The contest will take place in Nowy Sacz. The preliminary schedule is as follows: Thursday, 17 July Arrival of teams, Friday, 18 July Opening Ceremony, General Assmbly Meeting, Saturday, 19 July 1st Competition Session, Sunday, 20 July Excursion, Monday, 21 July 2nd Competition Session, Tuesday, 22 July Excursion, Wednesday, 23 July Closing and Awarding Ceremony, Thursday, 24 July Departure of the teams. The participating countries will have to cover the travel expenses to and from Nowy Sacz. Full board and accomodation costs will be paid by the organizers. Please remember the following deadlines: Preliminary registration: 30 March 1997 Confirm that your country intends to delegate a team, and give us names of team leader and deputy team leader, number of students, number of guests (at own expense).
