Questionnaire IOI'97, Cape Town, December 1997 At recent IOIs the contestants had to complete all the programming tasks using PCs with MS-DOS and the programming packages Turbo Pascal 7.0, Turbo C/C++ 3.0, and QuickBasic 4.5. At IOI'98 (Portugal) Basic will no longer be available. The aim of this questionnaire is to probe the opinion of all delegations on the computing environment and the kind of competition tasks for future IOIs, especially IOI'98 and IOI'99.
